Operation Dynamo: Dunkirk Anniversary Weekend
To mark the 70th anniversary of the evacuation of troops from France, join us for a weekend commemorating the "Miracle of Dunkirk". Take part in WWII events, experience living history encampments and find out what life was really like from English, French and German soldiers. Tour the tunnels from where Vice Admiral Ramsay masterminded the evacuation of allied troops, known as Operation Dynamo. |

Time Travellers Go... Archaeology Become Indiana Jones for the day! Take part in Rescue that Relic, the ancient tomb obstacle course, find out about artefacts stored at Dover Castle and try your hand at the Archaeology Quest. (All children are welcome to join in the Time Travellers Go... events. An additional £1 will be charged on standard admission for every child, member and non member, to help us fund this entertainment activity.) |

Barons Revolt! A Medieval Castle Under Siege
Experience the atmosphere and drama of a medieval castle under attack. The Siege of 1216 was one of the bloodiest that Dover Castle had ever seen. Witness the opposing forces prepare for battle, with armour displays, fletchers and blacksmiths crafting their weaponry and an awe inspiring trebuchet in action. Experience the fear and anticipation of battle with the rallying cry of generals as they prepare their soldiers for the impending bloodshed. |

Find out how real double agents and spies hid secret information and then, just like 'Q' in the James Bond films, have a go at making gadgets yourself.
