The Stone Hut
Museum Store
Changing displays from collections in store. Collections from Neolithic to Cold War (over 6,000 years of history). Historical plans, archives and photographs from our sites.
English Heritage holds over half a
million objects directly related to its sites and their related archives. In
Kent the main store is at Dover Castle. As part of the English Heritage's policy
of broadening access to collections, The Dover Castle Museum Store.
opens to
the public on the first Friday of every month 10.30am-1pm then 2pm-4pm.
Visitors are given the rare opportunity
to enter part of the working store, speak to the curators about their work and
view the changing displays which show objects from sites around the South East.
The exhibitions offer individuals the chance to view some of the region's most
beautiful and interesting hidden treasures which are kept in the store and would
otherwise not be on view to the public.
